Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Job Summary
To deliver innovative consultancy solutions including Electrical Engineering and Design.
The base location will be at our Teesside office and may involve UK travel supporting customers in Transmission & Distribution, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Manufacturing and Energy sectors
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake and deliver high-quality detailed electrical design and engineering projects including schematics, single line drawings, layout drawings, general arrangement drawings, cable block diagrams, material take-offs and other documentation required for LV and HV electrical equipment.
- Mentoring and supervision of Junior Design Engineers, sharing technical knowledge and experience.
- Plan and supervise the work of the EPS Engineering team to achieve project deliverables and objectives relating to quality, progress, compliance, and cost control.
- Scoping and interpreting client requirements to prepare and deliver an effective technical solution.
- Appreciation and understanding of relevant UK, European & International standards, legislation, regulations and codes of practice.
- To have a thorough knowledge of and compliance with EPS procedures.
- Contribute to business development targets by building and nurturing client relationships and helping generate new business.
Experience & Qualifications
- Must be conversant with Electrical ISO symbols and drawing standards.
- A minimum of HNC in Electrical Engineering or similar from a relevant university.
- At least 5 years’ industry-related experience in an Electrical Engineer capacity. Experience in power engineering and design of both high and low-voltage systems.
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
- Proven ability to design electrical systems and demonstrate rationale behind proposals.
- A proven track record of technical knowledge on EPC-type projects.
